Job summary

Pertemps Solihull is seeking a reliable Caretaker / Key Holder to join our team in Solihull on a full-time, temporary ongoing basis. The role involves opening and securing buildings, carrying out routine maintenance, and acting as a trusted key holder.

The successful candidate will perform minor repairs, liaise with contractors, and uphold health and safety standards across the site. Immediate start available for the right candidate with DBS in place.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or similar role.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Solid understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, capable of working independently.
• Flexible approach to working hours and site requirements.
• Applicants MUST hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Open and lock up facilities in line with operational requirements.
• Act as a designated key holder, ensuring buildings are secure at all times.
• Carry out routine inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls and repair requests.
• Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
• Liaise with contractors and other service providers as required.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site.
• Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and operational.
• Report any safeguarding, security, or maintenance issues to management.

About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker / Key Holder to join our team in Solihull on a full-time, temporary ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or maintenance professional to play a key role in ensuring facilities remain secure, safe, and well-maintained.

The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and securing buildings, responding to maintenance issues, carrying out minor repairs, and acting as a trusted key holder.

Key Responsibilities
