Job summary

Regional Construction Group (RCG) is recruiting a reliable, hands-on Caretaker / Cleaner / Building Manager to look after a building in Runcorn. This varied role combines day-to-day cleaning, caretaking and building management, helping to keep the premises clean, safe, secure and well presented. Salary: £30,000 per annum.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Location: Runcorn. This role requires practical on-site coordination with residents and contractors, recording inspections and coordinating

• Ability to perform day-to-day cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Capable of coordinating with the office and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas, corridors, stairwells and entrances to a high standard.
• Manage waste areas, keep routes clear and monitor security and access.
• Carry out building inspections and report defects or safety issues promptly.
• Undertake minor maintenance within own skills and arrange specialist support as needed.
• Maintain records of inspections, cleaning tasks and incidents.
• Liaise with residents, visitors and contractors and provide access for authorised works.

Regional Construction Group (RCG) is recruiting a reliable, hands-on Caretaker / Cleaner / Building Manager to look after a building in Runcorn. This varied role combines day-to-day cleaning, caretaking and building management, helping to keep the premises clean, safe, secure and well presented.

• Cleaning communal areas, corridors, stairwells, entrances and other shared spaces to a high standard.
• Managing bins and waste areas, removing litter and keeping access routes clear.
• Carrying out regular building inspections and reporting maintenance defects, damage, leaks and safety concerns promptly.
• Undertaking minor maintenance and basic repairs within your skills and authorisation, and arranging specialist support through the office where required.
• Monitoring the condition and security of the building, including doors, locks and communal areas.
• Liaising professionally with residents, visitors, contractors and the RCG office.
• Providing access for authorised contractors and helping to coordinate maintenance visits.
• Maintaining clear records of inspections, cleaning tasks, maintenance issues and incidents.
• Monitoring cleaning materials and equipment and requesting supplies when needed.
• Following health and safety procedures, using cleaning products correctly and keeping fire exits and escape routes clear.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, uses their initiative and can organise their day effectively. You will be a practical point of contact on site, helping to resolve everyday issues and referring matters to the office when further support is needed.
