Regional Construction Group (RCG) in Sheffield is seeking a reliable, hands-on Caretaker / Cleaner / Building Manager to look after a building. The role blends cleaning, caretaking and day-to-day site management to keep the premises clean, safe and well presented.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas, corridors, stairwells, entrances and other shared spaces to a high standard.
• Manage bins and waste areas, remove litter and keep access routes clear.
• Carry out regular building inspections and report maintenance defects, damage, leaks and safety concerns promptly.
• Undertake minor maintenance and basic repairs within your skills and authorisation, and arrange specialist support through the office where required.
• Monitor the condition and security of the building, including doors, locks and communal areas.
• Liaise professionally with residents, visitors, contractors and the RCG office.
• Provide access for authorised contractors and help coordinate maintenance visits.
• Maintain clear records of inspections, cleaning tasks, maintenance issues and incidents.
• Monitor cleaning materials and equipment and request supplies when needed.
• Follow health and safety procedures, using cleaning products correctly and keeping fire exits and escape routes clear.
