Job summary

Regional Construction Group is seeking a Part-Time Cleaner to help keep premises in Ormskirk clean, hygienic and well presented. The role is 16 hours per week, with working days and times to be agreed, starting January 2027.

You will vacuum, sweep, mop floors, dust surfaces, clean toilets and kitchens, manage waste, and keep storage areas tidy. The successful candidate will work independently, take pride in their work, and provide a welcoming environment for building users.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning communal areas, corridors and washrooms.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Works well independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas, entrances, corridors and stairwells.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors with appropriate equipment.
• Dust and wipe surfaces, handrails and doors.
• Clean shared toilets and kitchen areas.
• Empty bins and manage waste to designated area.
• Keep cleaning equipment and storage tidy and secure.
• Monitor stock of cleaning materials and report needs.
• Report maintenance defects and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow safety instructions and use warning signs where required.

Regional Construction Group (RCG) is recruiting a reliable Part-Time Cleaner to help keep premises in Ormskirk clean, hygienic and well presented.

Hours: 16 hours per week, with working days and times to be agreed.

Start: January 2027, exact date to be agreed.

Pay: Meets National Minimum Wage requirements.

• Cleaning communal areas, entrances, corridors, stairwells and other designated spaces.
• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning products.
• Dusting and wiping surfaces, handrails, doors and other frequently touched areas.
• Cleaning shared toilets, washrooms and kitchen areas where provided.
• Emptying bins, replacing liners and taking waste to the designated collection area.
• Keeping cleaning equipment and storage areas tidy and secure.
• Monitoring stocks of cleaning materials and reporting when supplies are needed.
• Reporting maintenance defects, damage, spillages and safety concerns promptly to the RCG office.
• Following the cleaning schedule, safe working procedures and instructions for the correct use of cleaning products.
• Using warning signs where required and keeping access routes and fire exits clear.
