About The Role

Lime Tree Care Home is looking for a Caretaker with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. You should have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ideally some IT skills. It is important that you communicate with residents and co-workers in a considerate and kind manner.

The Caretaker will ensure that residents live in a well-maintained environment that is proactively inspected. Responsibilities include carrying out audits, maintaining accurate records, and performing various maintenance tasks such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, always with kindness as a priority.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to seek advice or escalate concerns as necessary.
