Job summary

Complete Classroom Services Ltd is looking for an experienced Caretaker to join an outstanding primary SEN school in Greater Manchester. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the site, ensuring a safe, secure and well-presented environment for pupils and staff.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00am-1:30pm and Friday 6:00am-1:00pm, with start ASAP and a long-term contract that could become permanent. A proactive, reliable professional with practical maintenance skills and an Enhanced DBS is

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Caretaker or School Caretaker.
• Experience in site management or similar role.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Experience in schools desirable.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Ensure internal and external areas are safe and well maintained.
• Carry out routine health and safety checks.
• Complete fire safety checks.

CCS are currently looking for an experienced Caretaker / School Caretaker to join an outstanding primary SEN school.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced School Caretaker who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented school environment.

The Role

As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the school site, including both internal and external areas.

The School Caretaker will be responsible for:

• General maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds
• Ensuring the internal and external areas are safe and well maintained
• Carrying out routine health and safety checks
• Completing fire safety checks
• Completing and monitoring Legionella checks
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
• Supporting contractors and visitors when required
• Helping ensure the school site remains safe, secure and operational

Hours & Details

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-1:30pm | Friday, 6:00am-1:00pm

Start: ASAP

Contract: Long-term / potential permanent opportunity

Location: Greater Manchester

Requirements

The ideal Caretaker / School Caretaker will have:

• Previous experience working as a Caretaker, School Caretaker, Site Manager or in a similar role
• Good general maintenance and practical skills
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Experience working within a school or similar environment is desirable
• Enhanced DBS
• A reliable, proactive and professional approach
