Job Title: Caretaker
Location: Arundel Campus
Salary: £24,424.82 Full Time Equivalent per annum
Hours of work: 37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Full-Time, Permanent

About the role:

Support the Site Supervisor and Head of Facilities in ensuring the efficient operation of the college campus, maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all.

Carry out campus maintenance and repairs, adhering to health and safety legislation, and handle day-to-day issues related to such works.

Be familiar with health and safety policies, including manual handling, working at height, legionella control, and fire safety.

A valid driver’s license is required due to role responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all work complies with College health & safety requirements
  • Perform unlocking, locking, and security checks, maintaining key records
  • Conduct repairs and decoration to standard
  • Detect and report building defects
  • Test and record emergency lighting, fire alarms, water systems, fire doors, and emergency exits
  • Assist security staff to ensure building safety
Candidate Requirements:
