Caretaker wanted at Powerleague

Role Purpose

The overall purpose of the Caretaker role is to ensure the club is maintained to a high standard in all areas. This key role ensures our clubs are always presented in their best light to visitors. From entrances to pitches and clubhouses, caretakers ensure everything is in working order and visually appealing, while maintaining customer safety. The caretaker will have key holder responsibilities and be accountable for stock and club safety in the absence of the Club Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

1. Maintain the pitches, including redistribution of rubber crumb, white lining, brushing, and netting.
2. Manage all internal areas of the club ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.
3. Follow a Maintenance Schedule to meet standards regularly.
4. Perform general maintenance tasks as directed by the Club Manager.
5. Keep vending machines fully stocked, operational, and well presented.
6. Ensure club compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
7. Complete risk assessments and pitch check sheets.
8. Carry out weekly fire tests.
9. Perform bi-weekly beer line cleans and cellar management.
10. Conduct weekly Legionella controls, including temperature checks and flushing.
11. Record and verify all stock deliveries before acceptance.
12. Store stock neatly, rotate to prevent expiry, and manage stock levels.
13. Conduct weekly lighting audits.
14. Identify and report maintenance needs to management, advising on necessary actions.

Customer

1. Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
2. Fulfill reasonable customer requests to ensure comfort, satisfaction, and safety.
3. Handle challenging situations with empathy and understanding, making decisions to resolve issues.
4. Prioritize the customer in all actions.
5. Gather customer feedback and relay it to line management.

Finance

1. Control expenditure and adhere to budgets when repairing or replacing equipment.
2. Ensure the club and vending machines are secure at all times.
3. Source cost-effective solutions for repairs and issues.
