About The Role
Millcroft is seeking a Caretaker with proven experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and some IT skills are preferred. Communication skills should be considerate and kind, especially when interacting with residents and colleagues.
The Caretaker will ensure that residents live in a well-maintained, proactively inspected environment. Responsibilities include conducting audits, maintaining records, and performing maintenance tasks such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, always with kindness and respect.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. The successful candidate must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, attend safeguarding training, and know how to report concerns appropriately, including escalation procedures if necessary.
