Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a part-time Caretaker in Harrogate (Belmont House, Starbeck area) to ensure security, routine maintenance and cleaning support. The role runs early mornings (6.00am–7.00am) for five hours weekly, with flexibility in start/finish times.

Salary ranges from £13.28 to £13.92 per hour, with no weekend work. The position includes access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and holiday entitlement, plus various employee benefits.

Workingfor NYC as a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the locking and security ofthe building, responding to emergency call outs as well as ensuring outsideareas are kept safe and clean. You will support the maintenance of the buildingby checking and replacing light fittings, assisting with minor repairs, andreplacing consumables. You will support the training and development of theCleaners on site as well as assist with cleaning duties as directed. Fulltraining will be provided.Thehours are between (6.00am - 7.00am) daily, withsome flexibility on start and finish time and totalling to (5) hours per week over 5 days. For this, you will be paid £13.28 - £13.92 per hour. No weekend work!
