Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Cleaner for St Hedda’s School, Egton Bridge, Whitby. You will join a dedicated team responsible for on-site cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming and sanitising sanitary fittings.

The role is 12.5 hours per week, usually after school hours (3.15pm to 5.45pm), term-time with two extra deep-cleaning weeks in school holidays. The position offers a competitive rate (£13.28 per hour) and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning environments preferred.
• Able to perform dusting, vacuuming and sanitary fittings cleaning.
• Term-time cleaning with additional deep cleaning periods during school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties on site including dusting, vacuuming and sanitising fittings.
• Work during term time plus 2 weeks deep cleaning in school holidays.

We have an opportunity for you to join North Yorkshire Council working at a school, St Hedda’s School, Egton Bridge.

You will be a valued member of our team who will be reliable, dependable and have a strong work ethic. Working for NYC as a Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning duties on site including dusting, vacuuming and the cleaning of sanitary fittings. Full training will be provided, and the hours are between 3.15pmto 5.45pm and totalling to 12.5 hours per week over 5 days. Term time only plus 2 weeks deep cleaning in the school holiday periods. For this you will be paid £13.28 per hour. No weekend work!
