Caretaker

Start Date: As soon as possible

Tenure: Permanent, Full-time

Are you a dependable and proactive individual with a hands-on approach to site maintenance? Surbiton High School is looking for a committed Caretaker to join our experienced Caretaking Team of eight staff.

In this varied role, you will take pride in maintaining the safety, security, and smooth day-to-day running of the school’s premises. Your responsibilities will include opening and closing the site, responding to emergencies, supporting fire safety procedures, and assisting with minor repairs and maintenance tasks. You will also help ensure the school is well-presented, support events, liaise with contractors, receive deliveries, and contribute to larger improvement projects during school holidays.

You will have a flexible attitude, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to health and safety. In return, you will be part of a professional and supportive team within a vibrant school community.
