Maintenance Caretaker

Location: Dinwiddy House, Kings Cross, London, N1 9NF

Salary: £13.91 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Temporary 4-month contract

Sanctuary Students is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Maintenance Caretaker for a temporary role at our Dinwiddy House accommodation in London. Our facility is used over the summer for conferences, summer schools, and public bookings.

Our offices operate from 08:00 to 20:00, Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate will work a shift pattern from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, five days a week over seven.

Role Responsibilities:

• Responding to maintenance requests, undertaking repairs, and reporting issues needing specialist attention.
• Conducting building checks and audits to ensure safety and security, complying with health and safety standards.
• Performing routine maintenance and providing updates on progress.
• Managing stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Ensuring proper waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in caretaking or cleaning roles is essential.
• Practical skills in standard repairs and maintenance.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills for excellent customer service.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and plan work efficiently.
