Job Title: Caretaker

Service Care Solutions has a vacancy in Doncaster, Yorkshire, for an experienced Caretaker to join a team on a Full-Time Temporary basis.

The postholder will assist in delivering high-quality Community Life Choices, Short Breaks, and Supported Living services. Responsibilities include all aspects of premises caretaker duties, ensuring the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of buildings and grounds to provide a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for users.

Main Duties:

1. Perform internal and external maintenance work as agreed with the service manager, ensuring high standards and cost-effectiveness.
2. Maintain building and maintenance equipment.
3. Conduct routine checks and minor repairs to heating, lighting, appliances, and fixtures.
4. Complete minor repairs across the building as needed.
5. Support porterage duties for service users.
6. Liaise with external contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
7. Ensure all technology used in the service is operational.
8. Undertake PAT testing.
9. Open and close the building, set/reset alarms.
10. Oversee and implement infection prevention and control measures.
11. Carry out cleaning duties within the building.
12. Perform other duties within the scope of the role.
13. Drive vehicles safely and responsibly.
14. Assist tenants with removing bulky items in accordance with council guidelines.

Requirements:

1. Hold a Full UK Driving License.
2. Be flexible to work outside normal hours, including weekends.
3. Possess a good standard of written and spoken English.
