We are looking for a flexible individual with a focus on the ability to provide effective deep cleaning to inpatient wards and outpatient clinic areas. Occasionally, the successful candidate will be required to assist the larger Cleanliness Team with general ward cleaning. Also involved in the role, will be the gathering and delivery of cleaning supplies, together with small offices moves. A full UK driving Licence is essential for this role.
To ensure that approved documented cleaning standards and frequencies are maintained at all times when carrying out periodic cleaning and descaling as scheduled.
To carry out small office/equipment moves across the Trust site, carry out heavy duty descaling, cleaning of kitchen areas and waste cupboards.
To maintain floors and clean carpets as requested.
Responsible for ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are safe, properly used and kept clean at all times.
Carry out water flushing regularly as scheduled.
Any other duties and responsibilities determined by the Caretaking Team Leader / Operational Cleaning Manager, within the parameters of this post.

Job summary
To ensure that approved documented cleaning standards and frequencies are maintained at all times when carrying out periodic cleaning and descaling as scheduled.
To carry out HPV/UVC Decontaminations on request (following approved training)
To carry out small office/equipment moves across the Trust site, carry out heavy duty descaling, cleaning of kitchen areas and waste cupboards.
To hold a clean UK driving licence in order to be able to provide cleaning cover for any area across the Trust site and community areas in the absence of Cleanliness Assistants due to annual leave and sickness.
To maintain floors and clean carpets as requested.
To assist with delivering of supplies and equipment on occasion.
Responsible for ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are safe, properly used and kept clean at all times. Report to Caretaking Team Leader any cleaning equipment problems.
Liaison with the Caretaking Team Leader regarding cleaning equipment and cleanliness stock levels to ensure sufficient is always available.
Carry out water flushing regularly as scheduled.
Any other duties and responsibilities determined by the Caretaking Team Leader / Cleaning and Linen Services Manager within the parameters of this post.
