Shift pattern ranges from early morning to evening (6am–7pm) on weekdays, with possible weekend work and overtime. Pay rate is £13 per hour PAYE, and recruitment follows safe practices.

Responsibilities

To open & close various corporate buildings at designated times in line with the business needs of the Council and to be available for occasional access to buildings out of hours.
Be able and willing to provide cover and support to the Facilities team at other corporate SMBC sites.
To carry out routine Health & Safety inspections / compliance checks, ensuring all security systems and procedures are adhered to across the corporate estate. Escalate, report or complete any actions.
To comply with Health & Safety legislation.
To participate in out of hours emergency call out procedures and rota.
To undertake general facilities and security duties.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Caretaker. You will be working in Birmingham. This is based in a hospital.

Shift pattern between 6am - 7pm week days with possible weekend and overtime offer.
