Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Caretaker for a hospital-based role in Birmingham. You will be responsible for opening and closing corporate buildings, assisting the Facilities team, and performing health & safety inspections and security duties.

The position runs on a 6am–7pm shift pattern with potential weekend work and overtime. It is a temporary ongoing contract with a pay rate of £13 per hour PAYE.

Responsibilities

• Open & close corporate buildings at designated times in line with business needs
• Provide cover and support to Facilities team at other SMBC sites
• Carry out routine Health & Safety inspections / compliance checks, escalate/complete actions
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation
• Participate in out of hours emergency call out procedures and rota
• Undertake general facilities and security duties

Job description

We are currently looking for a Caretaker. You will be working in Birmingham. This is based in a hospital.

Shift pattern between 6am - 7pm week days with possible weekend and overtime offer.

Temp Contract - Ongoing

Pay rate - £13ph paye

Job Purpose

• To open & close various corporate buildings at designated times in line with the business needs of the Council and to be available for occasional access to buildings out of hours.
• Be able and willing to provide cover and support to the Facilities team at other corporate SMBC sites.
• To carry out routine Health & Safety inspections / compliance checks, ensuring all security systems and procedures are adhered to across the corporate estate. Escalate, report or complete any actions.
• To comply with Health & Safety legislation.
• To participate in out of hours emergency call out procedures and rota.
• To undertake general facilities and security duties.
