Job summary

Property Management Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a part-time Porter/Caretaker for a residential building. The role covers front-of-house duties, basic maintenance, logistically handling deliveries, and upholding a safe, clean environment for residents.

Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:00–13:00, with start ASAP. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and takes pride in maintaining high-quality surroundings while balancing customer service, security, and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors.
• Manage resident parcels and deliveries, ensuring accurate logging and distribution.
• Issue and programme resident access fobs.
• Monitor site security and provide CCTV footage to the police when required.
• Meet and assist contractors attending the development.
• Maintain the appearance of the development, including daily sweeping of the front entrance and surrounding areas.
• Carry out minor maintenance and handyman duties, including painting, moving bins, and basic repairs.
• Inspect the building and report maintenance, health & safety, and operational issues to Management.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the development and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.

We are currently seeking a part-time Porter/Caretaker based within a residential building in Birmingham.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - 0800-1300

Salary: £16,523

Start Date: ASAP
