Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN in KS4/KS5 across class, small group and 1-2-1 settings, helping learners access learning and build independence.

The role includes assisting with careers and work experience placements, visiting placements, communicating with employers and contributing to safeguarding, with a full driving licence required to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Support students on whole-class, small-group and 1-2-1 basis.
• Assist learning access and progress towards EHCP outcomes.
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
• Support social and emotional development.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and feedback on learning.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Support careers guidance and work experience placements.
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with placement reviews.
