Job summary

The Education Network is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of learning needs at a SEND school. You will work across class sizes and 1-2-1 settings, aiding learning, behaviour, and independence while supporting careers guidance for KS4/KS5 students.

A driving licence is essential for the role, and you will engage with employers, participate in placement reviews and help plan career-focused activities.

Qualifications

• Proactive and nurturing Teaching Assistant with experience supporting learners.
• Experience working with children or young people, including those with additional learning needs.
• Patient, flexible and positive approach with strong communication skills.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships and adapt to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students across whole-class, small-group and 1-2-1 settings.
• Help students access learning and progress toward EHCP outcomes.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Support social and emotional development and feedback on learning.
• Contribute to adaptive teaching and curriculum planning.
