Job summary

The Growth Company’s Employment, Justice and Health team is hiring an Employment Advisor to provide guidance and training services to support unemployed individuals on their journey toward employment, training, and education. As part of The Restart Scheme, you will contribute to a government initiative offering personalised support for up to 12 months in the local area.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable customer groups.
• Strong knowledge of the local labour market, recruitment methods, and growth industries.
• Familiarity with welfare-to-work programmes and national standards.
• Excellent rapport-building skills and professional demeanour.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver advice, guidance, and training interventions for unemployed individuals.
• Liaise with agencies to support progression to employment, training, and education.
• Deliver one-on-one and group sessions, including assessments and inductions.
• Identify learning needs and tailor interventions accordingly.
• Refer customers to internal and external services to progress.
• Plan training and other interventions to meet individual needs.
• Support customers in choosing options and provide ongoing assistance.
• Report safeguarding concerns.
