Poole, Dorset – Office Based

Salary:

£34,000-£39,400, DOE + Benefits

Contract:

Permanent, Full Time

Hours:

37.5 hours, working 5 days per week in office

The Role:

To support growth and help employees achieve fulfilling careers, Dorset Software seeks an additional Career Development Coach. Reporting to the Lead Career Development Specialist, this role involves empowering employees to maximize their potential and develop necessary skills. Key responsibilities include:

1. Guiding employees towards short-term promotions and long-term career goals
2. Meeting regularly with consultants to discuss progress and track skills and competencies
3. Providing feedback during review meetings with HR
4. Identifying additional support or training needs
5. Supporting graduate recruitment and induction activities
6. Addressing project, employee, or performance issues as needed
7. Supporting employees through the Level 4 apprenticeship programme, including evidence collation and assessment preparation

Skills and Attributes:

• Broad understanding of career development
• Highly computer literate, preferably with knowledge of software development or a technical mindset
• Experience in conducting regular one-to-one progress meetings
• Trustworthy, credible, and confident communicator
• HR or Psychology qualifications are a plus
