Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking a friendly Care Worker in Ipswich to join our Extra Care community. You’ll support residents in their own apartments, help with daily tasks, meals and personal care, and build trusted relationships with colleagues and families.

No formal qualifications are required; a positive attitude and good English communication are valued. We offer comprehensive training, ongoing development, and opportunities to progress through the Extra Care Academy.

Qualifications

Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Commitment to undertake necessary further training.
Reliability and flexibility in shifts and tasks.

Responsibilities

Supporting with household and daily tasks such as laundry, shopping, cleaning and paying bills.
Making meals, drinks and snacks as needed.
Encouraging and enabling residents to follow care plans.
Assisting residents with getting up, personal care and ensuring medication is taken as required.
Keeping residents wellbeing at the heart of the service and informing managers of progress.
