Housing 21 is seeking a Care Worker to join a friendly, supportive team in our Extra Care schemes. You’ll help residents live independently in their own apartments, with access to communal spaces and on-site services. The role is paid hourly with a clear progression path through the Extra Care Academy.

No formal qualifications are required; a positive attitude, kindness, and good English are essential. Training is provided, and opportunities to progress into management exist within our schemes.

Qualifications

• Kind and friendly demeanor.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Commitment to undertake necessary further training.
• Reliability and flexibility in scheduling and duties.
• The ability to use your initiative in daily tasks.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Support residents with daily tasks and personal care as required.
• Assist with household chores such as laundry, shopping, cleaning, and paying bills.
• Support residents to follow care plans and engage in activities.
• Provide meals, drinks, and snacks as needed and ensure medication is taken as required.
• Maintain resident wellbeing and communication with care managers and agencies.
