Job summary

Nottingham City Council is recruiting Care Workers at Level 2 to implement care plans, monitor welfare and maintain accurate records across home, community, or council establishments.

The role is permanent with 37 hours per week (22 hours per week available) onsite at Martin Jackaman Centre, NG8 3LD. Starting salary £27,709 rising to £28,608 per annum pro rata for part-time, with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist and support citizens to exercise choice and control in accordance with their needs, preferences and aspirations.
• Encourage, motivate and support citizens to maintain or regain independence in daily living and activities.
• Develop and coordinate leisure and social activities to promote self-esteem and purpose.

Responsibilities

• Implement Level 2 care plans and monitor welfare.
• Record accurate information in running records and care plan monitoring charts.
• Cooperate with professionals, citizens and relatives to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide safe, personalised care, maintain dignity and maximise independence.
• Write and maintain individual person-centred care plans and administer medication.
