Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Care Worker to join our Adult Social Care team. You will support individuals at Wynhill Lodge in Bingham, Helmsley Road in Mansfield, and Holles Street in Worksop, delivering person-centred care with a strength-based approach.

No prior social care experience is required; training will be provided, including the Care Certificate. You will work across early/late shifts, weekends and bank holidays, in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to complete the Care Certificate and relevant training.
  • Knowledge of community care services and understanding of various disabilities.
  • Care experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals by following care and support plans, including health care and positive behaviour support plans.
  • Facilitate community access and encourage participation in activities tailored to individual preferences.
  • Record daily activities accurately using our digital care records system.
  • Complete all mandatory training and refreshers to ensure high-quality care.
  • Work flexibly across a variety of shifts, including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

As a Care Worker in our Adult Social Care team, you will support individuals using our internal short breaks services located at Wynhill Lodge in Bingham, Helmsley Road in Mansfield, and Holles Street in Worksop. While previous experience in social care is beneficial, it is not essential. You will work with a strength-based approach, providing person-centred care that respects the dignity and preferences of each individual.
