Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner in Topsham. This permanent, full-time role includes delivering care and leading onboarding for new carers, ensuring quality and compliance across the branch.

You’ll train and mentor the team, carry out audits and reviews, and participate in on-call duties. A driving licence and a proactive, people-first mindset are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and desire to advance in your career.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain standards.
• Visit customers to review care plans and ensure they remain accurate and person-centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties as per branch rota.
