Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring for a Payroll/HR Operations role in Leeds to manage end-to-end worker administration, including document verification and contract management, and to support pre-payroll and client billing processes.

The candidate will respond to queries, monitor attendance, process timesheets and absences, and handle payroll adjustments, ensuring compliance and collaboration with Operations, Sales, Payroll and Finance. Strong Excel and UK payroll knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce administration, HR operations or payroll coordination.
• Staffing/agency back-office experience desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and confidence using systems and data to drive accurate outcomes.
• Good working knowledge of UK payroll principles and related compliance requirements.
• Strong IT skills and experience with payroll, ATS or ERP systems.
• Confident Excel usage and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end worker administration, including document verification, contracts issuance and amendments.
• Prepare and review pre-payroll and pre-invoice packs before pay runs and client billing.
• Respond to worker and operational queries about pay, contracts and administration.
• Monitor time and attendance data; process timesheets and absence records.
• Manage adjustments including bonuses, deductions and other pay variances.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements and internal processes.
• Identify and escalate risks or changes affecting pay, invoicing or margin.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Payroll and Finance to resolve issues and protect margin.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process documentation.
• Act as a subject-matter contact for the Care Team and apprentices.
