Job summary

Sense is seeking a female Care Team Leader to join our supported living service at Newton Court in Paston, Peterborough. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week), with mornings, evenings and weekends on a two-week rota, offering a salary of £14.35 per hour (£27,983 per annum).

Qualifications

• Experience of working with adults with complex disabilities or sensory impairment
• Previous supervisory or team leader role in similar setting
• Experience conducting supervisions and supporting rota management
• Positive, person-centred approach with commitment to empowering people
• BSL Level 2 desirable

Responsibilities

• Supervising a team of support workers, including regular supervision sessions and appraisals
• Coaching and guiding staff to maintain high standards of support
• Supporting rota management and day-to-day running of the service with the Manager
• Supporting recruitment and induction of new team members
• Enabling people supported to take part in meaningful activities and access communities
• Contributing to person-centred plans and guidelines with families and other professionals
• Keeping accurate records and safeguarding responsibilities
