Job summary

The Sidings, Accrington is seeking an experienced Care Team Leader to join Lifeways, supporting adults with learning disabilities and related needs. You will lead and develop a dedicated support team, oversee day-to-day operations, maintain care plans and promote independence and dignity for residents.

Hours are 37.5 per week with shifts including days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. A DBS check is required; Lifeways does not offer sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards).
• Passion for person-centred support with strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

About the Role

Working alongside the Service Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of the service while leading and developing a dedicated support team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and supporting Support Workers
• Maintaining care plans and risk assessments
• Promoting independence, choice and dignity
• Supporting rotas and service quality standards
• Conducting supervisions and staff development
• Building positive relationships with families and professionals
• Leading by example to create a positive team culture

This is a hands-on role where you'll continue to support people to achieve their goals and enjoy active, fulfilling lives.

The Sidings is a modern supported living service made up of apartments and bungalows, offering people the independence of their own home alongside a strong community environment. Residents enjoy a variety of hobbies, social activities and community opportunities, with staff supporting them to live life their way.

Shift Patterns

• 37.5 hours per week
• Shifts between 8:00am and 10:00pm, Monday to Sunday
• Rotational days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
• Flexibility required to meet service needs
