Job summary

Lifeways Ilminster is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our vibrant team. You’ll support two sociable residents with complex health needs, join them on shopping trips, days out in the community, and lighthearted activities around Ilminster.

A UK manual driving licence is required to use our company cars. We offer 8 paid training days per year, funded qualifications and career progression, and a range of rewards including a £200 referral bonus and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Must be patient, empathetic, and reliable (experience in care helpful but not required).
• Great communication and sense of humour.
• Willingness to work shifts including weekends.
• Comfortable with driving and using company cars.

Responsibilities

• Support two residents with complex health needs.
• Join residents on shopping trips and community days out.
• Monitor health, medications, and dietary needs.
• Assist with domestic tasks and emotional wellbeing.
