Job summary

Nursing Direct Limited is seeking experienced Care Support Workers to provide high-quality mental health and complex care support in Tottenham and Enfield. You will work in supported living, residential, and home care environments, delivering person-centred support that promotes dignity, independence and positive outcomes.

Applicants must have at least six months UK healthcare or support work experience, an Enhanced DBS or Update Service registration, and PMVA or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months UK healthcare or support work experience in a relevant setting.
• Enhanced DBS issued within last 12 months or registered on the Update Service.
• PMVA or equivalent behaviour-management training.
• Strong communication skills; ability to manage challenging or complex situations calmly and professionally.
• CAMHS experience and experience supporting individuals with complex mental health or behavioural needs are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily routines, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Monitor and respond to behavioural or mental health presentations.
• Complete care records and documentation accurately; follow care plans and risk assessments.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures and positive behaviour support strategies; communicate with service users, families and healthcare professionals.

Nursing Direct is currently recruiting experienced Care Support Workers to provide high-quality mental health and complex care support across Tottenham and Enfield. This role is suitable for compassionate, reliable and proactive individuals with experience supporting people with mental health needs, challenging behaviours and complex care requirements. You will work within supported living, residential and home care environments, delivering person-centred support that promotes dignity, independence and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include supporting individuals with daily routines, emotional wellbeing and independence, monitoring and responding appropriately to behavioural or mental health presentations, completing care records and documentation accurately, following care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and positive behaviour support strategies, and communicating effectively with service users, families and healthcare professionals.

Applicants must have a minimum of six months UK healthcare or support work experience in a relevant setting, an Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or registered on the Update Service, PMVA or equivalent behaviour-management training, strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging or complex situations calmly and professionally. CAMHS experience and experience supporting individuals with complex mental health or behavioural needs are desirable.
