McCarthy & Stone Ltd in Shrewsbury is recruiting a Care Assistant for Stiperstones Court, a single-location development. This part-time role (20 hours/week) offers £13.26 per hour with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, and sponsorship is not available for UK-based applicants.

You will support residents with daily tasks, activities and wellbeing, helping them live independently in a caring community setting.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting residents with daily domestic tasks like appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping
• Assisting with social activities and wellbeing routines
• Promoting independence, dignity, and community engagement
• Supporting with individual care packages

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred,
• Qualification: Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Personality: Caring, dependable, and passionate about supporting older adults
• Location: Living within commuting distance of the development.
