Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Care Assistant for Ryland Place in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This on-site role offers a 30-hour, part-time schedule with an hourly rate of £13.26–£14.56, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends. UK applicants only; sponsorship not available.

You will support residents with daily tasks, activities and wellbeing, helping them stay independent and engaged in the community.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in UK health and social care preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Caring, dependable and passionate about supporting older adults.
• Living within commuting distance of the development.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily tasks such as appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
• Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines.
• Promote independence, dignity and community engagement.
• Support with individual care packages.
