Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a part-time Care Assistant at Wainwright Court, Kendal. Join a dedicated on-site team to support residents with daily tasks, wellbeing activities and social engagement in one location. This role requires compassion and reliability, with on-site training and development opportunities.

You’ll work 22 hours per week at £13.26 per hour, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends. Sponsorship is not available; applicants should live within commuting distance of Kendal.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
  • Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
  • Caring, dependable and passionate about supporting older adults.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting residents with daily domestic tasks like appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping

Who We’re Looking For:

Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred,

Location: Living within commuting distance of the development.
