Job summary

Wellington Hall Care Centre in Wellington, Telford, is seeking a dedicated Care Supervisor to support the day-to-day supervision of the care team and ensure high-quality resident care. You will promote physical and emotional well-being, lead care assistants, and participate in care planning and medication administration.

The role requires a Care Certificate and willingness to complete NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Care Certificate and be willing to take NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify.
  • Passionate about developing a career in social care and helping residents live well.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical and mental stimulation by leading social and recreational activities.
  • Assist residents with personal care, including hygiene and dressing.
  • Assist with meals and support independence with dignity.
  • Maintain accurate care records and participate in ongoing training.
  • Lead care assistants and administer medications.
  • Develop relationships with residents and families to tailor care.

Location: Wellington Hall Care Centre, Holyhead Road, Wellington, Telford, TF1 2EH

At Wellington Hall Care Centrewe are looking for a hardworking team player who is passionate about developing a career in the social care industry as a Care Supervisor. You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care.

You MUST hold Care Certificate and be willing to take NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify for this position.

Responsibilities of the Care Supervisor:

As a Care Supervisoryou will be key to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents in all aspects of their lives. As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:

  • Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis
  • Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
  • Assisting with mealtimes
  • Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
  • Helping to maintain accurate records
  • Undertaking regular ongoing training
  • Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care
  • Reviews with external health professionals
  • Lead the team of care assistants
  • Administer medication
Skills and Experience of the Care Supervisor:

  • Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
