Job summary

Wellington Hall Care Centre, Holyhead Road, Wellington, Telford, TF1 2EH, is seeking a dedicated Care Supervisor to lead the care team and support residents daily in a compassionate, person-centred way.

You will promote wellbeing, assist with personal care and meals, and coordinate care plans. Strong communication and IT skills are essential; a comprehensive induction and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Care Certificate and be willing to undertake NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in care settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Promote residents' physical and emotional well-being through activities.
• Assist with personal care, bathing, hygiene and dressing.
• Assist with mealtimes and nutrition.
• Deliver person-centred care upholding residents’ independence and dignity.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Undertake regular training.
• Develop relationships with residents and families to understand needs.
• Liaise with external health professionals.
• Lead the team of care assistants.
• Administer medication.

Location: Wellington Hall Care Centre, Holyhead Road, Wellington, Telford, TF1 2EH

At Wellington Hall Care Centrewe are looking for a hardworking team player who is passionate about developing a career in the social care industry as a Care Supervisor. You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care.

You MUST hold Care Certificate and be willing to take NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify for this position.

Responsibilities of the Care Supervisor:

As a Care Supervisoryou will be key to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents in all aspects of their lives. As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:

• Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis
• Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
• Assisting with mealtimes
• Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
• Helping to maintain accurate records
• Undertaking regular ongoing training
• Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care
• Reviews with external health professionals
• Lead the team of care assistants
• Administer medication
