Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Care Supervisor for Thackrah Court in Shadwell, Leeds. You will lead a team to help residents live independently within a warm, caring community and ensure high-quality care across day and evening shifts.

The role offers permanent hours (33.5 per week). Day shifts are paid £15.24 per hour, sleeping night shifts £12.24, with a £1 uplift for hours Fri to Sun. Benefits include funded Level 3 training and generous holiday.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification; L2 accepted with progression plan.

Position Details

• Contract: Permanent
• Hours: 33.5 hours per week, with a mixture of day and evening shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
• Pay: £15.24 per hour for day shifts, £12.24 for sleeping night shifts, plus an extra £1 for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.

Role Highlights

As a Care Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in enabling residents to live independently and actively and you will uphold our commitment to high-quality care. You will support the management of a thriving community of independent older adults, including overseeing the Care and Support team. Your role will include ensuring their safety, coordinating activities, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

About You

• You are warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated, with experience in a care or support environment and preferably a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. (Those with L2 are welcome to apply but will need toundertake their L3.)
• You are eager to take on responsibilities, promote community spirit, and improve the wellbeing of our residents.
• You will have previous experience of managing team members.
