Job summary

McCarthy Stone is seeking a Care Supervisor for Hawkesbury Place in Gloucestershire. This leadership role focuses on direct care without travel between clients, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in one estate.

Part-time 33.5 hours per week with day shifts at £16.25/hr and sleep-in nights at £12.65/hr, plus £1/hr weekend uplift and £10.80 per sleep shift. You’ll lead the care team, coordinate resident care plans, and foster a safe, welcoming community for residents aged 70+.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support work (1+ year preferred).
• Level 3 Adult Health & Social Care required (minimum Level 2).
• Leadership experience – supervision of a team.

Responsibilities

Hawkesbury Place, Fosseway, Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire

Part-time ¦ 33.5 hour per week

£16.25/hr (day shifts) ¦ £12.65/hr (sleep-in nights) + additional supplemental £10.80 per sleep shift and £1/hr weekend uplift where applicable.

Hawkesbury Place comprises of 44 one and two bedroom retirement apartments exclusive to the over 70s, alongside some outstanding communal facilities, including a wonderful function room, communal lounge, restaurant and wellness suite. Hawkesbury Place is located close to Stow-on-the-wold's thriving town centre.

A typical shift starts from 4.15pm and finish's at 9.00am, working alternate weekends.

Our Care Supervisors sleep between 11:00pm and 07:00am providing only emergency support to our homeowners throughout that period.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, support, and motivate the Care & Support team

• £15.24 / hour day rate
• + £1/hour weekend enhancement (midnight Friday to midnight Sunday)

About You

• Experienced in care or support work (1+ year preferred)
• Level 3 Adult Health & Social Care (minimum of Level 2 Health and Social Care and willing to upskill)
• Leadership experience – You’ve supported or supervised a team
• Organised, compassionate, and community-minded
