Job summary

Carlton Drive Short Breaks in Wigston is seeking a Care Services Team Leader to join the team on a 30 hours per week permanent contract. The role provides person-centred care and leadership to staff, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and sensory impairments within our respite service.

You will supervise care delivery, manage risk and safeguarding, and work flexibly as part of a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or managerial experience in social care.
• Ability to write and maintain clear, concise records.
• Strong IT and written skills.
• Knowledge of Care Quality Commission Fundamental Standards.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Ability to analyse information and assess risks with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to service users.
• Identify risks and maintain safeguarding.
• Lead and mentor care staff to deliver outcome-focused care.
• Operate within the Council's Codes of Conduct.
• Support audit systems and compliance.
