Job summary

Home Instead is seeking a quality assurance specialist to own our QA programme, care professional compliance monitoring and the Continuous Improvement Plan across two branches. You will identify gaps, agree clear actions and ensure improvements are completed and sustained.

This practical role suits someone who enjoys detail, supporting colleagues and driving accountability, with the ability to challenge poor practice and follow through to completion across offices and service areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance, compliance or care management within adult social care.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding.
• Experience auditing care records and staff files, identifying gaps and translating findings into practical improvements.
• Knowledge of the Welsh care inspection framework.
• Attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies, missing information and recurring problems.
• Confidence to have constructive conversations, hold colleagues accountable and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and follow actions through to completion.
• Proactive approach and ownership of issues.
• Comfort with using digital care planning systems and spreadsheets to monitor quality and report findings.
• Willingness to travel between offices and service areas.

Responsibilities

• Audit care plans, risk assessments, medication records and daily care notes.
• Monitor compliance against CIW Regulations & Home Instead Franchise standards.
• Maintain evidence of compliance and support inspection preparation and follow-up actions.
• Track client reviews and ensure changes are reflected in care records.
• Escalate concerns promptly where compliance gaps could affect suitability or safety.
