Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support students in a Primary and Secondary setting in the BB1 area. You will work closely with pupils who have ASD, PMLD and complex needs, providing personalised, one-to-one or small group support to help them engage with lessons.

The role suits candidates from care backgrounds, with a current Child and Adult DBS, a passion for safeguarding and the ability to build trusting relationships with learners and staff.

Qualifications

• Holding a Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service.
• Experience in care settings is desirable due to personal care needs.
• Understanding of Autism and other learning difficulties is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support students.
• Patience, empathy and passion for helping young people.

Responsibilities
