Job summary

NHS Professionals is seeking a Care Placement Coordinator to coordinate care placements between care providers, NHS staff and patients across multiple locations (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hemel Hempstead). The role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, with pay £15.25 per hour for an initial 3-month contract.

You will develop skills in coordination, administration, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management while gaining NHS experience and a flexible, supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational Level 3 qualification or at least 2 years' relevant experience.
• Experience in healthcare, administration, customer service, finance or social care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with care providers and healthcare professionals to identify suitable placements.
• Communicate with patients and families in a professional, compassionate way.
• Discuss placement costs with care providers and maintain funding information.
• Maintain accurate funding information, records and administration documentation.
• Handle sensitive conversations with discretion and professionalism.
• Track multiple requests and priorities to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to achieve positive outcomes.
