Job summary

AESN Care is seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of care services. You will ensure high-quality care delivery, staff management, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will supervise and support care staff, monitor care plans, and participate in on-call duties as required. Strong leadership and safeguarding knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Level 5 in Health & Social Care preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or management role within health or social care.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge.
• Ability to manage teams and solve problems.
• Good IT and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in managing daily operations.
• Supervise and support care staff.
• Ensure care plans are implemented and regularly reviewed.
• Monitor service quality and compliance with CQC regulations.
• Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Manage staffing rotas and cover shifts when required.
• Handle incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate operational and care documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rota when required.
