Job summary

Hampshire County Council is recruiting for a Care Leavers Personal Adviser to support young people aged 16-25. You will mentor individuals, coordinate with partner agencies, and help them transition to independence within a hybrid working environment across Totton, Andover, or Basingstoke locations.

The role offers a permanent or 12-month temporary contract with 37 hours weekly, a strong induction programme, and opportunities for personal development and potential social work training.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with young people aged 16-25.
• Experience of working with care leavers and their families/carers.
• Clear evidence of understanding adverse childhood experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 16-25 year-olds from varied backgrounds and keep diaries/visit schedules.
• Act as mentor and coach to help young people reach their potential and liaise with partner agencies.
• Work in a hybrid model, visiting locations, home, and offices as required.
