Connect2Hampshire is seeking an Assistant Team Manager to support the Care Leavers Team in Fareham. The role involves supervising staff, guiding casework, and ensuring statutory obligations are met while promoting outcomes in education, employment, health and wellbeing.

The position offers hybrid working, a 37-hour week, and a 3-month contract with potential extension. Salary is £29 per hour (Umbrella Rate) with a focus on collaborative, high-quality care services.

Qualifications

• Experience working with adolescents, care leavers, or looked after children.
• Demonstrable experience supervising staff and supporting professional development.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and Leaving Care requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities

• Support the operational management of the Care Leavers Team.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and mentoring to Personal Advisers and social care staff.
• Assist in managing complex casework and decision-making.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities and corporate parenting duties are met.
• Promote positive outcomes in education, employment, training, health, accommodation, and emotional wellbeing.
• Drive continuous improvement and high standards of practice.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders.
