Job summary

Richmond Villages Letcombe is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef across the community, care home, restaurant and events. You will cook to high standards, ensure food hygiene, and cater to residents' dietary needs while maintaining a welcoming kitchen environment.

This full‑time role offers 40 hours across four 10‑hour shifts, with no late nights and a starter bonus of £1,000 accompanied by a further welcome bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to cater for customers with dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Catering to residents across the Village (care home, serviced suites, restaurant/spa, events).
• Preparing and cooking food in line with food hygiene regulations.
• Responding to residents' dietary needs and menu requests.
• Assisting with meal preparation and serving on the hotplate as required.
• Ensuring food is used within prescribed periods, especially high‑risk items.
• Maintaining a welcoming, safe and compliant dining environment.
• Keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic.
