Job summary

SeeMe Hired Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to prepare, cook, and serve meals in a care setting. You will adapt menus for dietary needs and liaise with the Home Manager on planning and costing nutritious menus using available fresh foods.

You will also manage staff rotas, interview new staff, supervise kitchen and care staff, and ensure health and safety standards are met. A strong emphasis on hygiene and confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706-1 & 2 or equivalent.
• Basic Food / Hygiene Certificate.
• Good communication skills.
• Team player.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals as required.
• Provide for special dietary requirements and consider client preferences.
• Liaise with Home Manager on planning/costing menus to provide nutritious meals.
• Arrange/participate in staff and client meetings as required.
• Maintain accurate records of food supplies, and freezer/fridge temperatures.
• Ensure stock rotation and check/deliveries.
