Job summary

Welford Healthcare is seeking a Catering Technician to lead our kitchen team in delivering nutritious meals to residents. You will design varied menus, supervise service, and ensure high standards of safety and cleanliness in a warm, homely setting.

You will work with the General Manager to manage resources and support staff, while maintaining excellent dining experiences and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing meals and delivering quality, nutritious dining for residents.
• Willingness to adapt meals for dietary needs and preferences.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent teamwork and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals, snacks and baked treats with high presentation and quality.
• Understand residents' dietary needs and cultural/medical requirements.
• Maintain restaurant-like dining experiences with attention to plating and service.
• Uphold highest standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Manage stock, place orders and monitor budget.
• Mentor and support the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
