Job summary

Discovery Care Group in the Thanet area is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a well-established care home. You will be responsible for overall management, regulatory compliance with CQC, and delivering high-quality person-centred care.

The role requires NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to study), strong leadership, budgeting and staff development, and excellent communication. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and career progression

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
• Proven leadership and organisational skills
• Strong communication abilities in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the care home
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
• Maintain compliance with CQC and other regulatory requirements
• Lead, manage and develop the staff team
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and documentation
• Manage staffing levels and rotas for adequate skill mix
• Monitor and manage the home’s budget and resources
• Promote and safeguard residents’ welfare
• Build relationships with residents, families and professionals
• Drive continuous service improvements
